Is it possible to have electrolysis on the breast (or chest) area?

Absolutely! This is a common area for women to have hair, though you many never hear your friends speak of it. It's not unusual to have hair on the breasts or even a few on the chest area. Many women are hesitant to bring up this subject, but rest assured, you are not alone.

I have nipple hair. Is that weird?

No! It's not. Many women have hair around and even on the areola. Some shave, tweeze, and even wax, in an effort to hide it. Electrolysis can be very freeing to women who struggle with this.

It must be incredibly painful to have it done on such a sensitive area!

While the breasts are sensitive, they aren't as sensitive to treatments as you would think. Of course, everyone is different. Most women are very motivated to permanently rid themselves of this hair and tolerate the process very well.

What if I'm pregnant? Can I still have it done on my breasts?

You can have electrolysis done on the breasts, as long as you are not in your third trimester. However, due to the increase of hormones, you may experience more sensation than you would outside of pregnancy.

What about the bikini area?

Yes, electrolysis can be performed on the bikini area. We can do everything from simply cleaning up the sides or to a full Brazilian, if preferred.

I get so many ingrown hairs in the bikini area. Will electrolysis help me?

Electrolysis is wonderful, if you are prone to ingrown hairs. Once it has been properly treated, that particular follicle won't grow hair again. All other methods of hair removal can result in regrowth.

The ingrown issue may worsen, as some methods actually cause distortion of the hair follicle.

How painful is it down there?

The sensation from the current only lasts while the hair is being treated. If you've ever been waxed, you will likely have no issues with electrolysis treatments AND you'll reap the benefits of actually getting rid of the unwanted hair for good!

I had my bikini area lasered, but I still have some (gray/blonde/red) hair down there.

Electrolysis is perfect for "cleaning up" the hair that is not able to be effectively treated with laser. We can do electrolysis on these hairs in between your laser treatments, so that your hair removal journey doesn't take longer than necessary.

Is it even normal to get gray hair in the bikini area?

Totally normal. Just like the hair on your head can lose pigment as you age, so can the hair in the bikini area.

I have a somewhat embarrassing question that wasn't covered here.

No worries. Reach out to me and I will be happy to talk to you about your unwanted hair. No need to be embarrassed or nervous about asking.

***Please note that I do NOT provide electrolysis services for men on the lower half of the body.
