I'm sick of shaving the cheek hair above my beard line. Can electrolysis help?

Definitely! There's no need in keeping hair around that you will just shave from now until forever. Electrolysis can rid you of the pesky cheek hairs for good and leave your beard looking great.

My brows are bushy and/or I have a unibrow thing happening.

Some men have very dense eyebrows. It is possible to carefully thin them to lessen their bushy appearance. And a unibrow can be easily remedied as well!

I get bumps in my beard and on my neck after shaving. Why is this?

If it goes away quickly, it could just be razor burn (from sensitivity). If it lingers, it may be what is known as Folliculitis Barbae (actual infection of the follicles). Practicing excellent beard hygiene and using a clean razor will go a long way in preventing Folliculitis Barbae from occurring.

The bumps I'm getting are actual ingrown hairs.

You may be experiencing what's known as Psuedofolliculitis Barbae. During regrowth, coarse beard hair can easily loop back into the skin and cause an ingrown hair. In some cases, it may not come out of the follicle at all, becoming completely trapped under the skin.

If it is Pseudofolliculitis Barbae, can electrolysis help?

Most likely, it can! With electrolysis, we can target the area and the very follicles that are giving you the most trouble. If left untreated, Pseudofolliculitis Barbae can actually lead to keloid scarring. If you suspect you may be dealing with this, please see your doctor for a diagnosis and treatment plan.

I get ingrown hairs on the back of my neck around the hairline.

This may be what's known as Pseudofolliculitis Nuchae. Same concept as Pseudofolliculitis Barbae, just on the back of the neck. Electrolysis can safely be done in this area, as well.

What about the hair under my chin/on my neck that I normally shave?

Just like the cheeks, the hair you are always shaving on your chin/neck to keep your beard looking well-groomed can also be removed using electrolysis. We can shape a beard up quite nicely thanks to the precision of the electrolysis process.

Can I have my whole beard or mustache removed?

Yes. Electrolysis is commonly used to remove all unwanted beard/mustache hair. Some men just don't want facial hair and some are simply frustrated with constantly fighting the shadowing from thick, dark hair.

Is it possible to remove the hair that grows below my hairline at the nape?

Electrolysis is perfect for the high precision needed to shape up near a hairline. Those wild hairs that grow on the neck can be a thing of the past.

Do men ever get their underarms treated?

Some men prefer not to have hair under their arms, just like most women do. If you're tired of dealing with this hair, it can definitely be addressed with electrolysis.

My arms and hands are SO hairy!

Maybe you just want less hair and don't want to get rid of it all. We can accomplish this by strategically reducing the density over time. Some men just prefer the look of their arms/hands without hair and that can be accomplished as well.

I have so much chest hair! What can I do to reduce it?

Sometimes it's just a matter of how dense it is, much like the arms. If you want less, that is certainly doable. Some men prefer to have it lasered (if they are a candidate) and simply do clean up with electrolysis. If you have gray or white hair mixed in, this is a great way to go about it.

I hate the hair on my back. Can I get electrolysis there?

Definitely! Back hair is a common complaint among many men. If possible, laser may be a good option for the back as well. I am happy to discuss options at your consultation.

I have tattoos. Will I still be able to get electrolysis?

You most certainly can! In fact, it's your only permanent option for tattooed skin.

The older I get, the more unsightly ear hair I have! Can you help with this?

We can do electrolysis on the ear, as well as the tragus, where many of these hairs grow.

I'm interested in electrolysis in an area that was not mentioned.

***Please note that I do NOT provide electrolysis services for men on the lower half of the body.
